Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to meet and photograph little people who are so innocent, open and expressive. My goal when creating a portrait is to capture a reflection of the child’s personality at that time.
Photography began as a hobby for me. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed photos created by other people and then as a teenager I discovered the joy of creating them myself. My camera has become an extension of myself. It was a natural progression for me that I would specialise in portraits of babies and children. I do however offer many other photography services.
I grew up as the eldest of three siblings and the eldest cousin of a large extended family. In adult life I worked for twelve years caring for children in day care and in hospital. And for the past eleven years my life has revolved around being “Mum” as I now have three children of my own.
I connect with children. I adore them and love nothing more than to get down to child’s level and be part of their little world for a while. My portraits are all about the child. Rarely do I use props and I love black & white. There are no distractions – you look at the portrait and see the little things; the gummy smile, dimples, big baby belly, curious eyes, cheeky little smirk …
...all the little things that make your child special.
I would love to capture that on film for you.
